Sick of summer florals yet? Yeh me too. Thankfully animal print is having a MAJOR moment this summer. It isn’t a pattern I would usually go for, give me a check or solid stripe any day but with so many wearable animal-themed pieces this season I’ve reconsidered my position on the jungle print du jour.

How to wear? Make just one change to your typical look. Swap out your usual denim or black trousers for a stripe skirt or patterned jeans. Switch your white shirt for a black and white spot blouse and instead of your usual kicks try snake-skin flats or leopard print heels.

There’s always a pack leader with these things and this summer the IT piece is the Realisation Par midi skirt ($180) – seen on some of our favourite fashion girls including Lucy Williams, Débora Rosa and Pernille Teisbaek.

The silk midi is easily styled with a simple vest/tee and trainers/heels. It’s a great transitional (hate that word) piece too and will bring us nicely into autumn with a chunky knit and boots. It’s currently sold out (story of my life…) but they restock it quite regularly so keep an eye on the Realisation Par site. In the meantime I’ve found some great alternatives like this animal print midi skirt from Rixo London

On the High Street Topshop have one of the best ranges of animal print separates and matching sets if you fancy committing to a head-to-toe look. I picked up this leopard print skirt (currently on sale at €20) recently and had to give it a whirl (literally). I’m all about keeping it simple so I paired it with a neutral button shirt, €34 also from Topshop, my favourite chunky black boots from Jessica Burmaan ($159), a black straw bag from & Other Stories (currently sold out online but they have some great alternatives here) and my new La Garconne watch from CLUSE, €89.95.

I’ve picked out 22 more animal print pieces that have my attention, including accessories if wearing the print doesn’t appeal. Let me know your favs!

As always thanks for dropping by – J ♥
