With summer on it’s last legs it’s time to start reorganising our closets for the cooler days to come. It’s officially September so I reckon I can now use the ‘F’ word without offending anyone. I’ve done a round up of my favourite trends for Fall to get you in the mood (and to selfishly help me work out how many van loads of summer clothes I need to put into storage).
Leave a comment with your favourite trend. Thanks for dropping by – J ♥
Fall Trend Round-Up
The plush fabric brings a lush romantic edge to our closets this season. Wear yours embroidered, embellished, paired with plaid or lace. Resistance is futile.
Animal print is always ‘in’ but this season it gets even more fierce. Check out one of my absolute favourite animal print looks from Longchamp here.
Florals in Autumn, ok not revolutionary but the darker hues and richer fabrics make this botanical theme a lot more interesting than sweet Spring pastels.
This season’s army inspired dressing never looked so chic. Think double-breasted coats, wide leg trousers, sailor stripes and gold buttons. Sign me up.
The metallic influence has taken a firm hold this year and the lustrous shades are set to dominate Fall. Wear with pared back basics to let your metalwork shine.
We’re wearing his shirt, so why not his suit. Take a cue from the boys in head to toe tailored pinstripes. Keep the look androgynous with a sweater and flat loafers or up with anti with plunging silk shirts and barely there heels.
Expect lots of black, navy, gold, khaki and blue as well as a healthy mix of berry shades, from fuchsia, to burgundy and the darker side of blush.
Which trend will you be wearing this Fall?
