The secret weapon in every fashion girl’s wardrobe may surprise you, I guarantee it’s not what you think. So trust me when I say you need to get a pair of cropped high waisted wide-leg trousers into your wardrobe asap. Why? Well let me tell you…

  1. There’s a pair for every occasion and to suit everyone’s style – whether it’s 90’s inspired, military style, pyjama style, chic and tailored, track pants, party sequins or paper-bag waistlines. The rule is there’s a pair for everyone, just find it and make it your own.
  2. They’re ridiculously flattering – thigh skimming, cinched at the waist and cropped versions that maximise ankle exposure to only reveal your best bits, what’s not to like?
  3. They’re a wardrobe staple – as one of those grab-and-go pieces you don’t have to think too hard about how to style them. Wear them with your favourite flats or trainers for a casual look or heels to dress them up for work or dinner. They look good with a shirt and jacket, with a hoodie, t-shirt or chunky knit.
  4. They’re not skinny jeans! Yes we love them but maybe it’s time we all tried something new!

Me? Well there are two pairs of wide-leg trousers I’m LOVING at the moment: these cropped, wide leg jeans from Topshop which I’ve been wearing (to death) with pointed-toe flats, a tucked in tee and an oversized blazer AND these navy wide-leg cords from & Other Stories. They’re a great alternative to denim and are so SO soft. Plus the belt tie gives you a waist (even if you don’t have one!).

I’ve found 18 MORE wide-leg trousers and jeans for you. Oh and check out this post for more inspiration on how to style wide-leg denim – this is definitely one of my favourite looks!

Thanks for dropping by! J ♥
