For me the best kind of accessories are like good friends – discrete, always complimentary and with no singular agenda to dominate. So when The 5TH asked me to try some pieces from their minimal accessories range I couldn’t say yes! quick enough. The 5TH aesthetic fits my style and to be completely shallow about it, the pieces look bloody good. I’m wearing the Brooklyn watch here from the New York series along with The Essential backpack.
STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW
- Both the watch and the bag are unisex classic designs that can be worn by men and women.
- The watch comes with two interchangeable textured straps, a suede strap, which I’m wearing here, and a black leather alternative. So it gives two looks in one. Plus, added bonus, the large face on this watch makes your arms look skinny.
- As bags go this is the first backpack I’ve owned that doesn’t look like it’s meant for my sweaty gym gear. It holds everything I need including a laptop and these amazingly geeky clear glasses by Jeepers Peepers (love them sooo much).
The thing I love most about The 5TH accessories is how sleek they are. They compliment rather than distract and elevate any look, like this simple sweater and mini skirt combo. I’m living out of my knit drawer these days. It feels like I’m cheating when I throw on a sweater, like I haven’t really made an effort but honestly there’s no better feeling than bundling up, especially in the Swiss cold. I love a chunky jumper and this one from H&M ticks all the boxes. As I’m usually in denim I thought I’d let my legs out so paired the sweater with a navy mini from Mango (and a tonne of fake tan) and OTK boots. Scroll down for links to everything I’m wearing.
Thanks for dropping by! – J xx
