One of my blogger friends told me during the week that I’ve been wearing a lot of slogan tops lately, which I hadn’t actually noticed (thanks Aggie!). So I thought I’d do a post on all the graphic tees and tops in my closet at the moment.

Bad Habits TOPSHOP (sold out, similar here) // Tee LEVI’S // Day for Night Sweater BELLA FREUD // Cherry Bomb Tee GANNI (sold out, red version here) // Bored Already Cardigan LAYOFF (sold out!)

Does It Have to Mean Anything?

The first thing I do when I see a slogan tee or cardigan is make sure I understand what the slogan means! I mean, no-one wants to be caught out with some dodgy phrase splashed across their chest. But aside from that there are no rules, wear whatever you want.

It could be the logo of your favourite designer, your Dad’s favourite band (who doesn’t love a vintage rock tee), a political statement (a la Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tees at Dior) or the mantra you live by.

Whatever it is it’s incredibly empowering wearing your thoughts on your chest/back/sleeve. Plus I love it when strangers try to work out what my slogan tee says or their face when my knitwear says I’m bored!

Keep scrolling for how-to-wear street style inspiration and graphic tops that’ll put attitude back into your spring summer look.

Thanks for dropping by – J xx
