Nautical stripes, wall to wall sunshine and legs dipped into shore lapping waters. I’ll take perfect moments like these when I can get them. I’ve been enjoying a slower pace this weekend in the Swiss Riveria town of Montreux. It turns out this place isn’t just about jazz. The town sits on the edge of Lake Geneva with absolutely stunning views of the Alps. From our hotel balcony I might be able to touch the colossal mountains. There’s something magical about seeing the reflection of snow covered peaks in still water in the bright sunlight.
With any excuse to embrace summer I’ve swapped my usual denim for these striped bermuda shorts from Zara. I found them in the Zara store in Montreux while hunting for a bikini, which of course I didn’t find because that’s actually what I needed. I’m not into short shorts, I wouldn’t subject the world to my wobbly leg bits so bermuda style shorts are the perfect cover-up. I usually take a size Small but decided on the Medium for a roomier fit and longer length. My legs are definitely not summer ready so I apologise for the state of my sorry pins in these photographs but I’m starting the prep for goddess legs this week. Wish me luck, I’ll need it.
Scroll down for credits and other striped bits for your bottom-half.
