I don’t want to fall into that cliched blogger trap of talking about how the weather is affecting my clothes choices these days but to be honest it is!
Maybe it’s global warming (or are we still ignoring that?) but things have definitely changed here in Zurich. It’s officially warm. It was 17 degrees today and it’s only February! Don’t worry, this post isn’t about the weather.
Anyway I’m happy to move on, I’m so bored of winter and the big coat uniform. It seems such a waste to hide a perfectly good outfit under all those layers anyway. So yes, things are changing and that includes my wardrobe (any excuse!).
NEW SEASON, NEW COAT (to clarify, I’m not an old lady)
My favourite coats for spring are trench coats (more on this soon) and bomber jackets. I have a couple of bombers tucked away in the back of my closet. I like that they’re perfectly casual but they can also be dressed up. Especially when there’s luxe fabric involved like silk or satin, or embellishment.
I spotted this embroidered bomber in Mango a couple of weeks ago when I was killing time in between mani and pedi appointments. How could I say no to the beautiful details on the back. Plus it looks a lot more expensive that it is (jackpot).
I’m rotating all my boyfriend jeans and wide leg denim at the mo. I completely forgot I had this pair of cropped Levi’s from last year (the joy of the find) so I’m wearing them any chance I get.
You can’t go wrong with a classic white tee and this one from Anine Bing always looks great, especially with a peekaboo black lace bra underneath. A vintage Dior bag and new season shoes from Next complete the look. Scroll down for links to everything I’m wearing.
