Head-to-toe tonal dressing made easier with a luxe bomber…

I’m a fan of tonal dressing. Wearing one colour all over fits with my keep it simple approach to dressing. One of my favourite monochromatic looks at the moment is head-to-toe grey. For me it’s a colour that’s easy to wear and coordinate with.

To avoid monotony I pick a top and bottoms in different shades and fabrics. That way there’s more texture and shade. Less elephant more colour chart, if you know what I mean.

A recent addition to my greyscale collection is this bomber by Dori Tomcsanyi. The Hungarian designer’s collections mix high-end fashion with minimal excellence. I picked it up in Rumour boutique in Zurich. I have to pause here to give them a shoutout. Rumour’s commitment to emerging international designers is evident in their stunning selection in store and online. As well as stocking Dori Tomcsanyi they sell pieces from talents such as Kelly Love, Moe Oslo, Ukulele, Claudia Nabholz and Ti:Baeg. For anyone in Zurich you have got to pop in. If you’re not in the area check out their online store here.

In my head-to-toe grey, Tomcsanyi’s bomber adds a sporty twist while the quilted fabric and black hardware brings contrast. It’s the perfect jacket for now and the warmer days ahead. Check out how I wore my other favourite bomber here.

If you haven’t jumped on the bomber bandwagon let me help. The classic bomber with its square, boxed shape and cinched details at the neck, waist and wrists suits most people. You can wear it casually with box-white sneakers or dressed up with mid-heel boots or heels. Stay true to its minimalist beginnings with a simple padded version in a block colour – you can’t go wrong with khaki, black, navy or grey.

If you want more of a statement piece go for an oversized, embroidered or embellished style in suede, satin or mesh. Up the anti in a jewelled shade like pink or emerald green to really stand out. I love the two tone versions in navy and white and green and cream.
