I like chilled weekends. I need them. Thankfully Zurich is a pretty chilled place. This past Saturday we spent the day by the lake, dipping toes in the water, staring jealously at sail boats and eating bucket loads of ice-cream. I really need to up my nautical experience while I’m here. I’m not into sailing (yet) but can totally see the appeal. The weather app promised heat and that’s what we got, so I dug out my favourite denim dress and strappy block heels that I picked up last summer. A coating of Sally Hansen spray tan on my pins and I was good to go. As the light was amazing on the slow walk home we took a few snaps (a side effect of blogging wherein every journey is a photo op).
I’ll let you in on a secret… I never actually planned on blogging. What started as a reaction to my brain’s need for a bit of good ole creative sharing has turned into a hobby that I’m passionate about. I refer to my daily outfit postings on Instagram last year that led to being asked to write a style column for a local magazine in Ireland, which in turn prompted the creation of this blog. It’s funny how things come about.
What I didn’t realise was that in having a blog and in capturing my experiences it would make me appreciate my life so much more. It also lets my friends and family see what I get up to in Swiss-land and stalk me while they’re at it. Something I encourage, so please, keep watching.
I have to give a shout out to Cerjo Switzerland for the amazing shades. Of all the accessories I own sunglasses are one of my favourite and definitely the most used. I wear them year round, even when it’s not that sunny and love how they can completely up-style my look. Check out the full range of Cerjo glasses here.
