On its own a striped blazer is just that; a jacket with a pleasant geometric lined pattern. Not exactly revolutionary style-wise but like most things in life it’s what you do with it that counts. Putting a striped jacket with a stripey top or bottoms will certainly make things more interesting.
I’ve had this blazer in my wardrobe for months waiting for the temperatures in Zurich to increase so I could ditch the winter coat. I’m not sure if it was the royal blue tone, the pinstripes or contrasting sports-luxe cuffs that grabbed me first but I knew I had to have it. To work the stripe-on-stripe look to maximum effect I paired the blazer with a blue and white striped shirt and with boyfriend jeans for texture. In keeping with the black and blue colouring I added blue suede loafers and a classic Chanel black bag. Et voila, stripes squared.
