At this time of year you’ll hear fashion bloggers talking a lot about ‘transitioning‘. As fed up as I am hearing that word, I admit they may have a point. Figuring out what to wear between seasons can be tricky but with some creative mixing and matching you can get the most out of your wardrobe. Something which I think is critical in an age of fast fashion and our tendency to shop to alleviate boredom (just me?).

In the throws of autumn oversized layers are the perfect antidote for mixed weather days and maintaining a regulated body temperature. I found this chunky cardigan from BA&SH recently and love how cosy it is and the fact it goes with everything! It has been the perfect thrown-on for the cooler days in Zurich. This is how I wore it for a family brunch last weekend, with an oversized t-shirt, skinny jeans and heels.

Side note on sizing: just so you know this cardigan comes oversized and is quite long. I’m 5 ft 8 and wearing a size 1, plus heels, so bear that in mind when you’re choosing a size.

My Troubled Sub-Conscious

I must really be worrying about getting cold as I’ve been compiling lists of coats! Are you ready for autumn? Check out my write-ups on designer versus High Street print coats here and the best 5 military style coats here. Just move quick before they sell out (hate that).

Paris in the Fall (it has to be done)

As I write this I’m on a train to Paris for a few days away with hubby. While we’re there I plan on going to a few Fashion Week events, as well as drinking copious amounts of coffee, staring at strangers and eating lots of Croque Madame’s (obviously). This will be my first experience of Paris Fashion Week and I’m so excited! I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Thanks for dropping by!  J xx
