There’s more than one side to any city and that certainly holds true for my adopted home Zurich. Feeling a bit wanderlust this weekend I strayed further afield to the west of the city towards the cultural viaduct area. Zurich’s railway viaduct was built in 1894 and is still fully functioning as a railway. Under its impressive 36 arches the unique space houses a mix of boutiques, delicatessens and galleries. This area is definitely one to add to your must-see places when you’re next in the city. The juxtaposition of my monochrome, lace and leopard print against the urban art was too much to pass.
You know I love a classic monochrome look and am always looking for ways to keep things interesting. Adding depth through texture and pattern helps to lift the blank black and white canvas. This lace top from Zara hits the mark nicely with its high neck, broidery details and semi-sheer back. It reminded me of something by Self Portrait so when I spotted that it was under £30 / €40 it was a no-brainer. Pur-chase!
