The wide leg trouser is a key silhouette for Spring / Summer 2016. Slouchy and tailored, it’s the ideal partner for a casual or formal look. The perfect accompaniment to a chunky knit, sports-luxe sequined top or printed blouse. For S/S ’16 we’re seeing the wide-leg cut tailored with pleats, in relaxed pajama style and soft with a paper bag waist. So many ways to wear the wider leg, I’m starting to get ideas…

For me a wide leg pant offers more than just another outfit opportunity, it’s a chance to get out of my skinny jeans uniform. I’m a denim girl at heart but a break in blood-flow restriction can only be a good thing, right?

I spotted these beautiful wide-leg wonders by Drykorn in the amazing Fidelio Kleider store in Zurich. I get lost among all the treasures in that store. Check it out if you’re into Isabel Marant, Victoria Beckham, Self Portrait, 3.1 Philip Lim, Vince or Acne. Fidelio have their own range too which is just as inspiring.

These pants are relaxed and loose but stiff enough to hold their shape. High waisted and cavernous inside they feel incredibly soft against my skin. Plus the grey / brown colour and tweed-like fabric adds texture.

On my lazy days I pair these trews with a knit and clean white trainers. Throw on strappy heels or pumps to dress them up for the office or an evening out with the girls. Easy.
